After more than 14years in the Fitness industry, over a decade specialising in working with mums face to face and now 4years working with FitPro's themselves I see that we need to further come together as Fitness Professionals and support both each other and the mums that we work with.
I like to refer to our pre/postnatal population more as 'mums' because many of the changes that occur during pregnancy and childbirth can stay with a woman for many years to come especially if she doesn't have proper postnatal care to return to exercise and 'life' safely and effectively.
Many post-natal contraindications could be looked after 'if' a woman is made aware and given the proper rehabilitation and rebuilding exercises - this is where you come in....
By choosing to download this ebook and potentially go on to further your own education in working with our 'mum market' (and lets face it; mums may be a specialised population but they are a very 'general' population and I don't think there are many fitness professionals out there that will never ever work with a woman that isn't or won't become a mother)
SO I believe we all need a general knowledge which will allow us to work within our scope of practice to keep all women safe, no matter how old their 'babies' may now be.
